why eden?

When I first started talking about calling my business eden, a lot of my friends, who know me very well, asked me why.

I guess when you think eden you think of the Garden of Eden from the bible, and with my name being Eve you might deduct that I have a religious background and wanted to pay homage.

Well, that’s not entirely the case.

You’ll soon learn I love a bit of word play and letting people draw their own inferences.

Enough assuming. Let me clear it up!

I decided to call my business eden because it is the first agency of its kind just like eden was the first paradise.

The Garden of Eden was overseen by Adam and Eve, eden communications is also overseen by me, also an Eve (albeit my ‘Adam’ is actually called Jordan who works in International Logistics).

Finally, eden communications and is a paradise for all businesses, experts and creatives to come and grow, be nurtured and most of all be empowered!

Public Relations, strategy, blue sky thinking, data analysis and influencer marketing is my passion. As a specialist who has spent close to 10 years in the industry working both in agency as well as in house for international and national brands, I wanted to create a business that the PR world has never seen before.

Eden communications is built on a creative collaboration structure. I wanted to ensure I worked with the very best creatives and freelancers but I didn’t want to ‘employ’ them.
I want to empower creatives and freelancers to be the CEO’s of their own hours, their own projects and their own work.

Give them the opportunity to work alongside me on projects rather than under me.
I also wanted to ensure I was giving client’s a variety of opinions and ideas from a collective of people who have their own expertise’s, experiences and insights.

This collaborative approach churns out some of the BEST work with all angles considered and all approaches attacked.

The best thing is, it’s managed under one roof so to speak. There’s one line of communication for the client and their project, even if there are a thousand different moving parts. Just the client and me.

So, what do you think? Did I name my business well?
